We can finally unveil the secret location; a brand new, never been used warehouse in Dalston, East London. This venue will certainly not disappoint, and we’re lucky to be the first ever party in this amazing space.

We are also hugely excited to announce that Patrick from M.A.N.D.Y will be joining us as special guest on the night. As the renowned co-founder of Get Physical, and close friend of Tim Green, we are delighted to bring him on board for this significant imprint on the path of Bedlam London!

After the unforgettable launch in March, with Art Department and Pablo Cahn performing epic sets alongside front man Tim Green, we knew we’d raised the bar from the start. That level of crowd unity is exactly what we strive for in a warehouse party, so with that in mind, we began designing an original and inspiring line up, to fill an atmospheric space to rival the last, and are now fully equipped to unveil the second installment of Bedlam London..!

Tim Green should need no introduction to Bedlam followers. With a world touring schedule busting at the seams, performing to crowds in every continent on a weekly basis, there is still only one place that Tim calls home, and that is Bedlam. 2011 is so far proving to be another massive year for Tim, with huge new releases on Cocoon, Get Physical & Rebellion, as well as remixes for Friendly Fires & M.A.N.D.Y. Anyone who watched Tim close the last Bedlam will be aware of his ability to own the room, and this party is another opportunity to witness this craft.

Kollektiv Turmstrasse have been enchanting crowds of dedicated music lovers across the globe for more than ten years, with no sign of slowing down. Their trademark track came with the ‘Let Freedom Ring Remix’ for Federleicht’s ‘On The Streets’, and with their big tunes ‘Tristesse’ and ‘Grillen im Park’, the guys have already played themselves into the hearts of their permanently growing fan base. For the first time in years Bedlam will bring their genius to an intimate East London space, a real treat for all of us..!

Also joining Tim & Kollektiv on the night will be Visionquest prodigy, Laura Jones. This Summer Laura has found herself becoming one of our scene’s most talked about names, with Leftroom track ‘Love In Me’ reaching no.1 in the Beatport deep house chart, and her Visionquest track ‘Live A Little’ not far behind. Her presence in any room is wonderful, but her essence behind the decks is simply captivating.

Warming things up on the night will be close friends Exel & Max D, founders of new east London night, Kitsch & Sync. They will set the tone of impeccable music and incomparable vibes, as well as hosting the official after party in an intimate venue just down the road. Details to be revealed on the night.

Doors open at 10pm, so please arrive early to avoid disappointment!

Welcome to Monkeytown. Berlin duo Modeselektor returns full force with a new album whose immense energy and club-boiling beats will inject the global dance community with inspiration that reverberates across the entire musical spectrum.

Flowing freely between styles and tempos, Monkeytown experiments with the edges and extremes, exploring fresh sonic territory from a solid base of beats located deep within the groove. With massive drums, minced vocals and a mastery of mounting tension, Modeselektor creates a new animal out of dance music, a mutating chimera with body parts of left-field hip hop, soulful R&B, punk rap and playful surprises. Contributing to the album is an exciting palette of guest vocalists and musicians, including Thom Yorke, Busdriver, PVT, Anti Pop Consortium, Miss Platnum, Sascha Ring (aka Apparat), Pillow Talk, Gordon Boerger, Siriusmo and Otto von Schirach.

Monkeytown immediately sets the stage on a higher level with intro track “Blue Clouds,” which loosens limbs from the start with a deep and sparkling hook. “Pretentious Friends” is a full-throttle experience whose beats bump like elephants between Busdriver’s scratched-up, screwed-down vocals. Thom Yorke collaborates on two tracks, contributing his production finesse and haunting falsetto to the dark tension of “Shipwreck” and to the psychedelic caverns of “This,” where pixelated vocals echo from the shadows with ominous overtones.

Trashy dance floor rocker “Evil Twin” is drenched in metal and concrete, like the demented industrial offspring “Kill Bill Vol. 4” and “The Black Book.” Modeselektor pulls out hidden drawers of bass in the funky “German Clap,” a steaming monster that grabs with gasping urgency. Miss Platnum rides low and slow into “Berlin,” smoothly spreading vocals over the chunk-ridden rhythm, a luscious R&B offering to lap up like cream. The album breaks open entirely and monkeys run wild in “Grillwalker,” a slamming club behemoth fashioned from mutilated 8-bits and a delirious bassline. PVT shines on “Green Light Go,” a poignant, off-kilter track that shuffles forward between loose drums before lifting off into the ether. Beneath Monkeytown’s exquisite orchestration and eclectic sound, pure energy is at the core of the release, vibrating with an emotional vivacity that dares to escape its sonic cage and fling itself upon the world. Joining the heavy ranks of Hello Mom! and Happy Birthday!, Monkeytown will light up the club and the cerebrum with Modeselektor’s incredible abilities to move the body, melt the mind and gather disparate genres and their listeners together in one monkey-filled, musical metropolis.

Tim Green has had a busy summer, with a DJ schedule which has seen him jet set everywhere across Europe and play festivals like SW4 and Bestival; not to mention a release catalog that has grown from strength to strength following EPs and remixes dropping on Cocoon, XL Recordings and more. With the year not even finished and with Tim packing plenty more heat in his forthcoming release arsenal, there is no doubt that he will kick start 2012 like an Olympiad gunning for golds.

It is of that token, that we are happy to announce that Tim’s next release will be on the raucous Rebellion records which is in fact Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels offshoot. This two track EP demonstrates the sound of now all the while maintaining Tim’s undeniable identity as well as his approach to cleverly crafting club cuts aimed at the dancefloor.

The A-Side, Cherry, has been causing quite a stir on Soundcloud, amassing plays and favorites left right and center. It’s soulful, diva-esque vocal is looped up to such great effect that you will be humming it on your way to work and then back home again everyday for a week. Add to that a nice hollow kick drum and tight high hats and what you have is a Tim Green track through and through. In one word: brilliant.

Now if that was not enough, the B-Side, Swamp Girl is a fantastic funked up future house number with crazy synths that ride aloft yet another vocal loop before a superb Hot Creations-esque wet bassline comes and engulfs you up quicker than you can say: groove! In our opinion, neither track deserves to be on the B-side so perhaps in future we will refer to it as the A2 side…

This release demonstrates Tim Green’s prowess as a producer as well as his ability to clearly identify what is hot way before all the wantaway copycats jump on the bandwagon. We are very excited to see what will come next from his box of tricks and if this release is anything to go by, it will no doubt be an awe inspiring record that will firmly cement itself in clubbing culture. Mark our words.

Tim Green has come a long way in such a short period of time with releases and remixes for the most respected labels out there such as Dirtybird, Get Physical, Cocoon and XL Recordings to name but a few.

It is evident that his output is always one step ahead of the game, always trend setting and always evolving. It is of that token that Forward Thinking Music are pleased to announce that the mighty Tim Green has got an upcoming EP release on Sven Vath‘s prestigious Cocoon imprint this forhtcoming Monday, the 15th of August. This three track EP consists of three killer yet distinct cuts that have been causing mayhem on dancefloor across the world in recent months. It is safe to say that the Lemon EP packs enough punch and bite that it will send any discerning dancefloor into a fiery frenzy of fanatical proportions regardless of which track is played.

The title track, Lemon, is a slab of summer funk neatly oozing with house flavours, vocal snippets, superb synth lines and tantalising tropical titbits which has been getting props from top drawer DJs across the board. It is a sure fire hit and one you can expect to hear during a sunset set at DC10 this summer.

The second track, Jimmy Rave Up, is a straight up spooky techno number which would do the damage if played in Fabric’s main room at 4 o’clock in the morning. This track simply display’s Tim Green’s versatility and as a producer as well as his keen eye to originality.

The third and final track, Dodjo, is a summer anthem complete with steel drums amples and second to none production skills. This track will make you wish you were sipping rum on a jamaican beach with the sun glaring down on you.

With props for this EP coming from the likes of Loco Dice, Sven Vath, M.A.N.D.Y, Tiefschwarz and many more as well as the legendary Pete Tong making Lemon his track of the week on BBC Radio 1 it is safe to say that the sky is the limit for Tim Green who delivers perhaps the greatest EP of his career.

If you don’t hear one of these tracks in a club in the next six months, I’d ask for my money back.
